Registration is open now for two upcoming Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training classes. Jan 19-20 at the Courtyard by Marriott in Petoskey and Jan 26-27 in Kalkaska at the United Methodist Church. There is a $50 Deposit REQUIRED to save your seat.  **A full refund will be processed only after attending both full days of training (minus a $5.00 processing fee).  Though this training is valued at $250, the cost is supplemented by sponsors. **Social Work CE available for each ASIST. Now-Feb 25…Every Friday 5-8pm Candlelight Hikes at Mt.. McSauba. Experience the magic of snowshoeing, hiking, or cross-country skiing on candle-lit, family-friendly trails.  “Hooping for a Cure – 2022”. This year’s pink game will feature the Boys & Girls Basketball teams from Mackinaw City and St. Ignace. The fundraising event supports the “No Cancer Patient Left Behind” program thru the Oncology Department at Mackinac Straits Health System. The game is Tuesday, February 22nd at LaSalle High School and will include an online auction, 50/50 Raffle, and a special ceremony. Now-Feb 12…Cheboygan County Walk for Warmth is taking place both virtually and in person. To participate, pick up a pledge sheet & registration form at the Salvation Army Social Service Office. For virtual, walk at your leisure, just be sure to turn in donations by 10:30am Feb 12. If you want to walk in person, arrive at the Salvation Army in Cheboygan by 10:30am on Saturday, Feb. 12th, walk starts at 11am. Enjoy hot chocolate & cookies. TFN…The Cheboygan Rec Center is open on Monday and Wednesday for boys and Tues/Thurs for girls from 5:30-8pm. High school and adults 8pm-10:30pm. Must wear mask at all times.


TFN- The Northern Care Center is a medical clinic for those uninsured or underinsured. Patients are seen on Tuesday afternoon/evenings. Located at W State Street, Cheboygan. You need to wear a mask and when you come to the parking lot you need to call the clinic, first come first seen. They also have vouchers for product at Goodwill and personal hygiene products for those in need. Please knock on the door for product. Please call with any questions 231-333-3019.
